17 Voluntary Hospitals from Dublin, Cork and Limerick established an executive working group called the Hospital Procurement Services Group (HPSG). This group has been in existence for over 15 years and consists of personnel with procurement, nursing, financial and administrative experience.
The HPSG provides a platform for Voluntary Hospitals to work together to lever their purchasing power to drive down costs while ensuring the quality, service and delivery needs of each hospital are met.
In partnership with hospital personnel, the HPSG provides a comprehensive contract development and management service across all non-pay expenditure categories implementing contracts to comply with EU procurement directives, Department of Finance procurement guidelines and accountability legislation.
