Located off the Richmond Road in Fairview, approximately 20 minutes walk from Dublin city centre, St. Vincent’s Hospital is an acute psychiatric teaching hospital with 95 beds and outpatient and day hospital services. With a total staff of approx 300, the hospital provides a full range of services to persons with mental illness.
The hospital functions in partnership with the HSE, Northern Area, and the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Dublin, in the provision of a comprehensive, community-based psychiatric service in Dublin North Central. The main components of the service are: prevention and early detection assessment; diagnostic and treatment services; rehabilitation; training and education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and research.
